Rumors about the new celebrity cast of the hit reality show include several big names in television, a singer and — keeping with the show's tradition — at least one athlete.

Despite being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and given a three-month prognosis back in March, "Mary Tyler Moore Show" actress Valerie Harper is preparing to put her dancing shoes on.
Harper, 74, will be one of the new contestants on the next season of "Dancing with the Stars," according to TMZ.

The actress known for playing Rhoda Morgenstern has already begun practicing with her partner  Tristan MacManus  and is said to be in very good shape.

On Jan. 15, doctors told the four-time Emmy winner she had a rare form of brain cancer that occurs when cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain, People magazine first reported in March. Doctors didn't think she had much time, predicting only a few months left for the screen star.


"I was stunned," Harper said at the time. "And in the next minute I thought, 'This could draw more attention to cancer research.'"
"I don't think of dying," she said. "I think of being here now."

Since Harper has already beat the grim odds, she might as well dance!
The official announcement about the new "Dancing" cast hasn't been made yet, but according to TMZ other possible contestants include former Scientologist and “King of Queens” actress Leah Remini, "Jersey Shore" standout Snooki and "Glee" actress Amber Riley.

Joining them could be "Saved by the Bell" actress Elizabeth Berkley, singer Christina Milian and retired footballer Keyshawn Johnson, the gossip site reports.
